Saloni Sakaria was born and raised in Mumbai in an affluent Jain family. In the initial stages of her life she was a renowned Fashion Designer and her label "The Third Floor" got featured in all the lifestyle magazines and showcased the Vogue styles at various National and International fashion weeks. She was successful in society's eyes and had a great run in the Fashion Industry.
However, life took its own twist and turns, and she dedicated her life to raise voice against animal cruelty and working for them. The year 2017 changed everything for her, A documentary called "Earthlings" highlighting the animal cruelty and extortion for economic purposes, flipped the world for her. This documentary exposed her to the cruelty and suffering of animals for the factory farms, research labs and many similar businesses.
She felt alienated by not understanding the fact that for our greed, animals go through so much pain and cruelty. It forced her to go vegan, yet not convinced that she has done enough to change the situation. As participating in the cruelty was just not enough, she thought that she needed to do more.
During the time the world was going through a complete lockdown due to pandemic, she introspected and decided to shut down her business and engage in full-time work for animals. To begin with, she applied to Peepal Farm "An animal rescue organization" in Himachal Pradesh she has been working there to establish the purpose to save animals and give a voice to their struggles.
